It gives me immense pleasure when I read the posts of my friends on their visit to Europe particularly Paris and Switzerland. Immediately I go back to year 2013 when I had the opportunity to visit Paris, Geneva and Switzerland.
My trip was organised through Make My Trip holiday planners. Our flight was from Mumbai to Paris via Doha by Qatar Airlines. The Inflight crew treated us with best of the services including meals and other requirements. The inflight entertainment was full of Indian Movies with the latest movies.
The city is celebrated for its beautiful city plan, architecture, museums, bridges, cathedrals, parks, shopping, sidewalk cafés, wide and luxurious boulevards, elegant cuisine, and numerous monuments.
Thereafter we were dropped off at the Eiffle Tower where we enjoyed the panoramic view of the city from its 2nd level. Built in 1889 and designed by the young engineer Gustave Eiffel, the tower stands 324 meters (1,063 ft) tall; it is one of the most enduring symbols of France and the industrial age.
View from Eiffle Tower
After Eiffle Tower visit we went to Indian Restaurant 'Bhojan' where we enjoyed the Indian Punjabi styled dishes which we couldn't have thought of during Paris visit.Thereafter we stayed in Hotel Novatel.

On the Second day after a delicious breakfast,we went out to explore the glamorous city of Paris, visited the Louvre Museum - the house of Mona Lisa. Her mystery attracted the crowds to the point of almost being an icon of the Louvre Museum. A complete crowd was hovering to see the picture of Mona Lisa.
After visiting the Museum, we continued exploring Paris through the panoramic city sightseeing, to popular sights as: Arc De Triomphe, Champs Elysees, Grand Palais, Petit Palais, National Assembly, Alexander Bridge, Concorde Square, Magdalene Church, Opera Garnier, Orsay Museum, Palais De Chaillot.
In the evening from Palais De Concord Square we went cruising on the River Seine to rediscover the full splendour of the river banks and monuments of Paris Like Notre Dame Cathedral Ile de la cita.Later in the evening post dinner, we went for Paris by Evening trip and enjoyed the Eiffle Tower lighting in the night.
In the city near Palais De Concorde Square we found Cycle Rickshaw plying. We also took Cycle Rickshaw ride to visit the city. We were fully overwhelmed by our visit and the life style of the people here in Paris. One good thing we were impressed was cleanliness, Pollution free atmosphere and the infrastructure developed.
Next day after the sumptuous Breakfast we started our Journey for Geneva by the Bus.
During this trip we had made several youngsters our friends one of whom is Praval Dadwal still in touch with us as Facebook friend.
In our next blog we will let you all know about Geneva and Switzerland visit..

Paris, the City of Lights.
Paris, France's capital, is a major European city and a global center for art, fashion, gastronomy and culture. Its 19th-century cityscape is crisscrossed by wide boulevards and the River Seine. Beyond such landmarks as the Eiffel Tower and the 12th-century, Gothic Notre-Dame cathedral, the city is known for its cafe culture and designer boutiques along the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré which is a street located in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, France. The city is especially well illuminated during the festive season, when over 2.4km of lights stretch from the Place de la Concorde right down to the Arc de Triomphe. It’s made even brighter with its 450 decorated trees along the avenue and on the pavement.
Paris is often referred to as the City of Light (La Ville Lumière), both because of its leading role during the Age of Enlightenment and more literally because Paris was one of the first large European cities to use gas street lighting on a grand scale on its boulevards and monuments.
MakeMyTrip representative greeted us at the Airport and from there we were taken onboard the bus/coach (seat-in-coach) which took us for the Orientation tour of Paris to explore the glamorous city of Paris.
